About Sherman Mack

Sherman and his wife Angela have been married for 30 years. They have three sons – Chris, Chase, and Connor. Their home is in Albany, Louisiana.

He is a graduate of Holden High School (1990) and Southeastern Louisiana University (1995), where he attended on a basketball scholarship. Sherman earned a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center (1999).

Sherman was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives where he served three full terms (2012-2024). During his tenure as a state legislator, he was awarded an A+ rating by the Louisiana Sheriff’s and Deputies Political Action Committee, named an Outstanding Family Advocate by the Louisiana Family Forum, and named an All Star and MVP Policy Maker by the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry.

Beyond his service as an attorney and legislator, Sherman has served as the junior high basketball coach at St. Joseph School in Ponchatoula, and as a youth basketball recreational coach in Albany and Ponchatoula. Sherman and Angela are very active in Bethlehem Church in Albany.

Nearly 25 years ago, Sherman had a choice to make when he left his clerkship at the Judge’s chambers — to take a job at a law firm in Hammond or to come home and fulfill his dream of opening his own law practice.

Since October 1, 2000, The Mack Law Firm has grown into the largest law firm in Livingston Parish.

Sherman encountered many who were skeptical about his decision, but it was the people of Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes who believed in him, enabling him to fulfill his dream.
